sizeModelHow to Measure

The guidelines below will help you choose the size for your body and shape. If you have any questions please email us. You may want to recruit one of your friends to help make these measurements

Bust

Place the tape measure under your arms, over your shoulder blades and across the fullest part of you bust. Remember to breathe out first.

Waist

Measure around your natural waist. Your can find it by bending to the side.

Hips

Measure around the fullest part of your hips, at about 8 inches from you natural waist.

Position Guide

When working on which size to order, always measure your natural waist. All skirts are designed to fit the natural waist unless otherwise stated. If a measurement is noted as “Below the natural waist” it means one inch below your bellybutton or approximately an inch and a half below your natural waist.

Frequently Asked Questions about Sweet Salt’s Sizing

Sweet Salt Clothing’s current business model is based on providing modest clothing at a reasonable price to as many customers as we can. To help better serve our valued customers, below are answers to common questions we receive about sizing. (Any additional questions can be emailed to: orders@seagullbook.com.)

Question: Do you carry plus sizes?

Our clothing is based on missy sizes, which does not include plus sizes, nor junior sizes. However, most of our clothing is available from a size 4/XS to size 18/2XL. (Quantities/styles may vary.) We realize and celebrate that women come in all different shapes and sizes, and we do our best to cater to as many customers as possible, but at this time, we are not a plus-size nor a petite-size specific clothing retailer.

Additionally, once we sell out of an item, we do not restock it (except for our ultimate layering tees). Larger sizes tend to sell out quickly, so we encourage customers to order promptly if they see an item they like, as it may not be available in the size they desire for long.

Question: Some of the items I’ve purchased in the past have not fit as correctly as I would like. Why?

We have recently adjusted our clothing line in the larger sizes to better accommodate the needs of our customers. Our fall 2016 line and beyond will reflect such improved adjustments. If customers aren't 100% satisfied with a recent purchase, we have a great return/exchange policy. (Click HERE to view that policy.) We want our customers to be happy with their purchases, so please let us know if we can help you with any sizing issue!

Question: Do you sell maternity clothes?

We don’t currently have a line for maternity—however, customers have used some of our ultimate tees, fashion tops, and skirts with elastic waistbands for maternity use, as many have a bit of stretch in them for added comfort during early pregnancy months.
